"I have worked with The Conservation Consultant on several conservation projects involving over 1100 acres and have been very pleased.
Having someone with years of practical experience who understood both the opportunities and potential problems involved with conservation easements has been a tremendous help.
With TCC’s help we were able to maximize economic benefits available to our business while fulfilling our desire to act as good stewards of the environment. Not only was TCC able to help guide us through the maze of different rules, regulations, and laws but they also helped facilitate communications between different groups involved in this process."

The Conservation Consultant helps its clients understand and implement any real estate transaction with a conservation component. By working in conjunction with law firms, accountants, appraisers, real estate brokers, and other real estate professionals, TCC can help you to acquire conservation property, sell or donate a conservation easement or explore ways to sell property while ensuring that all or portions of your property are conserved.
The Conservation Consultant helps its clients discover the current (and potential) economic value of their natural and cultural land resources. TCC calls this process delineating a property's conservation assets. This enables our clients to make informed decisions regarding management or disposition of their land From there we help our clients wisely manage those conservation assets to achieve goals-including revenue generation (from conservation, resource extraction or development), minimizing federal, state and property tax liabilities and wildlife and recreation enhancement.
After identifying your conservation assets, TCC helps derive a value for those assets. TCC then unlocks the value of your development and conservation assets as you deem appropriate.
Every landowner with acreage has conservation assets that require management. Whether your property consists of timberland, farmland, pasture, prairie, wetlands, and/or bodies of water, The Conservation Consultant helps you explore and implement land management strategies to meet your short- and long-term goals. Those goals may include improving wildlife habitat, developing a sustainable forest management strategy, restoring or enhancing a native plant population or natural community or implementing a prescribed burn program. Whatever the land management need, TCC can help.
